Sarah Yeo

Sarah Yeo is a UK based country singer/songwriter, based in Devon. In early 2019 , Trevor Raggatt of RnR Magazine said ‘Country music often evokes a landscape but its not usually the Devon country side. However, a deep streak of Nashville still runs through Sarah’s music. Her second album, delivers a portrait of an artist developing in confidence in her own abilities. And from the evidence of these eight songs, those abilities are not inconsiderable.

Yeo is possessed of a rich voice that she displays to good effect. For most of the songs there’s a touch of Mary Chaplin Carpenter to both the vocals and the rich mellow arrangements: silky smooth but still powerful enough to deliver some edge to the emotions, However on ‘bitten by love’ she casts off restraint and unleashes her inner Miranda Lambert, letting raw emotion pour out and adding sufficient grit to her voice to convince you that this is a woman you don’t want to mess with’.

Sarah will be performing a solo acoustic set for Visual Radio Arts – the perfect opportunity to hear her music stripped back to voice and guitar.
